Better housing that builds community.
The Daffaras have been thinking about where and how we want to live on the Sunshine Coast, in the years ahead. Maybe you have too!
How long do we want to stay in our detached home?
We know we don't want to pay a big corporation for an independent living appartment or an assisted living arrangement were we would feel trapped and powerless.
What if our neighbourhood was designed and developed by us!, to nurture human warmth and connection.
What if we lived in a purpose designed complex with our privately owned adaptable, "age in place" home?
What if it were multi-generational, like-minded people, families and friends who owned the other dwellings around us?
What if the complex were built as "green" as we could afford to build it and we lived lightly on the land?
What if the people living there were in charge of all the decisions about the management of the property using non-hierarchical consensus methods?
What if there was a community hub on the property where we could spend time together, share spaces and resources like a workshop or tool library and eat meals together?
If this interests you at any level, please join us to begin the discussion.
